The event will take place within the framework of World Environment Day established by the UN and will include running races on Mount Farmakas as well as a children's race.
The purpose of the event is to promote Sports, highlight the Natural Environment and raise awareness for its protection.
The strengthening of environmental awareness, the promotion of the rare natural ecosystem of Mount Farmakas, in an effort for the future development of Agrotourism in our region, with respect for environmental sustainability and even the promotion of local products and the hospitality of the local community.
The event will take place in Platani, a small & beautiful village in mountainous Argolida which is a settlement of the Agios Nikolaos Regional Municipality of the Municipality of Argos-Mycenae.
As part of the events, mountain running races will be held on Mount Farmakas as well as a children's race.
We invite you to come and enjoy the rare natural landscape and breathe pure oxygen in the therapeutic climate of Farmakas with the aromas of its herbs.
Run to the lairs of the 1860s guerrillas, Lafazanis, Kitsiou, and Dardani (there are related place names) and follow in the footsteps of the notorious rebels, Kouvelakis (Captain Farmakas) and Vazaios.
Walk through parts of the Hadrian's Aqueduct, which transported water by natural flow from Lake Stymphalia to Ancient Corinth for 2 thousand years, a work of the Roman Emperor Hadrian (117-134 AD).
